Privacy Policy

How Simple True Limited collects, uses, and protects personal data when you shop or contact SimpleTrue Foods in Ireland.

Last updated: 1 November 2026 · Simple True Limited

Who we are

Simple True Limited (“we”, “us”), trading as SimpleTrue Foods, is the data controller for personal data collected through simpletruefoods.com and related order or enquiry channels.

For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, email us at info@simpletruefoods.com.

What we collect

We only collect what we need to run the shop, answer you, and meet legal duties. Depending on how you use the site, that may include:

  • Identity and contact details — name, email, phone, and delivery address including Eircode when you place an order
  • Order and payment context — items ordered, totals, chosen payment method (Revolut or cash on delivery), and order reference; we do not store full card numbers on our servers
  • Enquiry and waitlist details — messages and email addresses you submit through our forms
  • Technical data needed to run the site — such as a functional spin-offer cookie (see our Cookie Policy)
  • Optional analytics signals — aggregated page-view and performance data from Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights, only if you accept analytics in the cookie banner

Why we use your data

We process personal data to:

  • Take, confirm, pack, and deliver orders (performance of a contract)
  • Respond to contact, restaurant, private-label, and stockist enquiries (legitimate interests / steps at your request)
  • Send waitlist or pantry updates you have opted into (consent)
  • Understand how the site is used and how fast pages load, when you consent to analytics (consent)
  • Prevent fraud, keep the site secure, and keep business records (legitimate interests and legal obligation)

Sharing

We may share data with service providers who help us operate (for example email delivery, hosting, payment confirmation partners, or analytics tooling when you have consented), only as needed for those services. We do not sell your personal data.

We may disclose information if required by Irish or EU law or to protect our legal rights.

Retention

Order and enquiry records are kept for as long as needed for fulfilment, customer care, accounting, and legal requirements, then deleted or anonymised where practicable. Marketing emails stop when you unsubscribe.

Your rights (Ireland / GDPR)

Under the GDPR and Irish data protection law you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to data portability where applicable. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

To make a request, email info@simpletruefoods.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (Ireland) at dataprotection.ie.

International transfers

If a provider processes data outside the EEA, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) where required.

Updates

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means you should review the revised policy.
